Schlafly Distributes Free Wildflower Seeds, Farmers Market Opens April 12

Schlafly beer is highlighting its ongoing support of all things sustainable this spring. In addition to using 100% renewable energy, being a leader in St. Louis’ composting program, supporting local farmers, growing their own produce in their urban garden, and having two Green Dining Alliance approved restaurants Schlafly will step up its sustainable efforts to continue to help make St. Louis a better place.

Throughout April, Schlafly will offer different ways for people to do their part by having a pint of Schlafly beer. Both the Tap Room and Bottleworks brewpubs will once again assist beer lovers in making the world a greener place by handing out free wildflower seed packs. The goal of the wildflower program is to not only add some beautiful color to the world, but to also help Missouri’s bee population. After you’ve started your own natural bee ecosystem, come join Schlafly and hundreds of other like-minded sustainable beer sippers for a Slow Roll bike ride to St. Louis’ Earth Day festival. The ride will leave from both Tap Room and Bottleworks brewpubs on April 23rd, and all riders will receive a free stainless steel sustainable pint glass for supporting alternative transportation.

To top it all off, Schlalfy is the exclusive beer sponsor of St. Louis Earth Day; donating a dollar for every pint sold to the organization. You’ll be able to find Schlafly across the Earth Day festival grounds, over its expanded 2-day festival. Whether it’s supporting local farmers at Schlafly’s farmers market (opening Wednesday, April 12, 4:00-7:00, and continuing every Wednesday through the fall), cutting down your carbon footprint on your bike, or showing off your green thumb to help some bees, Schlafly consistently finds ways to help you do your part, and have a pint along the way.
