FOLLOWING LANGUAGE TO TRACK OUR TRAUMA: A mini workshop
This zoom event is for a healthcare professional, a personal trainer or physical therapist, or those interested in their own self exploration. This workshop is a two part event. Sat. Aug. 22. from 9-11 CST, and Sat. Sept. 19. 9-11 CST. Come and join this two part workshop to learn not only how to track the traumas, but what if anything can we do about it? In the first weekend we will learn: * How to listen to the language used; *How to track the traumas from the language; *How does the effect of trauma show up; *Recognizing the power of belief systems. The Second weekend we focus on: * Does this trauma belong to me; * What are the hidden sabotages to healing, ie. hidden loyalties, agendas; *How to stay present; what purpose might it serve; *Breaking the chain of the past through new images. $80 for the two part series; $40 per session. You may attend both, or just the first session, but not the second session alone. Experience a class that has it all with bugs, detective science, earthworks, kitchen chemistry, mad machines, movie effects, science of toys and walloping weather! Focus on a different topic each week with projects to show off your mad science knowledge! Registration deadline: 8/20. Grades K-5. Beginning Guitar
Offered for students who have never played guitar and have no background in music. Learn to play first position and open position chords, simple scales, melodies and right hand strumming techniques; tablature, guitar notation and tuning are introduced. Farm Tour & Field Dinner
Washington County Home Grown Farm Tour and Field Dinner is set for Aug 29th. The Tour will start at the Farmers Market in Potosi, MO where visitors can pick up a map for the self guided tour to include 6 locations where they can discover and learn about farming in Washington County. The last location to visit is Edg-Clif Vineyard, Winery & Brewery where visitors can enjoy live music by The IdeaMen from 1-4pm and if they have traveled to all the tour sites they will get a surprise bonus! After 5pm guests can participate in the Field Dinner which like many events has a new format to be socially distanced and follow covid19 safety guidelines. Silent Auction from 5-7pm where guests can bid on local crafts, gifts and products with proceeds to benefit area agriculture students and local farmers through grants. To adapt the Field Dinner for 2020, our county’s farmers invite you to celebrate their products at a “Country Picnic” style feast. Each guest will get a picnic basket overflowing with fresh cheeses and meats and canned goods, local free-range fried chicken, various homegrown sides, artisan baked breads and handcrafted dessert. Along with your basket will be everything you need to enjoy your outdoor feast including wine glasses and compostable dinnerware. Wine cocktails and other beverages included and guests will be invited to individual tables placed at safe distances on our Wedding Field, decorated with tablecloths and flowers. It will be a fun and elegant “Country Picnic”, cost which includes the take home basket/glasses/napkins and other goodies is $80 per couple.
