Retired veterinarian Bill Dierberg and his family opened Canine Country four years ago to offer a place for all types of dogs to enjoy and frolic freely while spending time with their owners.
Canine Country is a private facility featuring, two enclosed 20 acre meadows, five other enclosed areas from 3 to 7 acres, a walking trail along a stream, a 4- acre lake for dogs to swim in and a dock for dock dog training and competition. There are two agility fields with lots of equipment, a flock of sheep for herding and expert trainers.
Beautiful and serene, Canine Country isn’t just for dogs. The rolling farmland offers their owners a nice, relaxing retreat from the daily grinds of the city and plenty of privacy if they want it.
Canine Country is located at 10102 Highway DD, four miles southwest at the Winghaven exit on Hwy 40. It’s open seven days a week and kennel service is also available to the public.
