Andrea’s Offers Delicious Baked Goods & Information On Gluten Allergy & Intolerance

If the aroma of freshly baked bread tempts your taste buds, step into Andrea’s Gluten Free!

“Our mission is to provide delicious gluten-free food,” states owner and Chief Taste Officer Andrea Kosinski.  “We produce great savory and sweet baked goods in our dedicated gluten, peanut and tree nut-free kitchen.  Several members of my team must eat gluten-free, so I have their expert assistance in product development and customer service!”

Driven by the desire to offer enjoyable gluten-free baked goods, Andrea’s product line is always evolving.  The kitchen produces breads, cookies, cupcakes, beautifully decorated cakes, pies and other desserts daily.  Frozen entrées such as pizza, quiche, and meatballs are also available to help simplify life.  Everything is prepared without preservatives for a more “fresh baked” quality.

Andrea’s is well-received in the community.  Many customers are referred directly to the store from their physicians and several hospitals offer Andrea’s to those who must adhere to a gluten-free diet. Maggiano’s Restaurant and the Original Pancake House serve Andrea’s products, as well.

Education is another important element of Andrea’s business model.  As research on celiac disease and gluten intolerance develops, Andrea’s feels a responsibility to share this information with customers.

“We strive to stay current on the gluten-free diet so we remain a reliable resource for our customers,” says Kosinski. “ It is also our goal to increase awareness of celiac disease and gluten intolerance among the general public.  The resource tab on our website is a great place to expand your knowledge of the diet and who might benefit.  Our store is also stocked with gluten-free cookbooks and informational material authored by doctors and renowned experts on the gluten-free lifestyle.”

Andrea’s has a special project on the horizon!  They will sponsor a seminar March 19, 2011, entitled Gluten-Free; To Be or Not to Be?  The expo will be held at the Jewish Community Center in Creve Couer and feature a keynote presentation by Dr. Stephen Wangen, author of Healthier Without Wheat.   Chef Jen Cafferty, founder of The Gluten and Allergen Free Expo will present a gluten-free cooking demo.

Participating vendors will offer samples of their products and services and have items available for purchase.  There will be door prizes and giveaways.
