We can all do much more than we think we can. It is our minds that limit us. Maybe not all of us, but for most of us, we tend to minimize ourselves and/or think we are not good enough in some or even many ways. I have a friend who loves to put diagnoses on herself and be the illness. One day I hope she realizes how much more she is than those illnesses. Most of the time we don’t even realize that we do this. Realizing it is in the moments when we say no to something where maybe it could be a yes. Needless to say, many times saying no is a good boundary. The word, no. can also be a reflexive answer. Pay attention to where the “no”s” live inside of you. They can also show us where we limit ourselves.
Where in your life do you minimize yourself or think that you aren’t good enough for something or to do something? Take a few minutes and close your eyes. When you become aware of some place in your life where you tend to do this, ask yourself a question. Is this really true? And where does this limitation come from? Then ask yourself to let go of the old belief and to allow something new to come in. What would come in when you allow it to?
Sit with this and be with your answer…..
