13th Annual Fair Trade Market at Manchester United Methodist Church

Fair Trade market

On Saturday and Sunday, November 21 & 22, and Friday through Sunday, November 27, 28 & 29, 2015 from 9 am to 3 pm, shop the 2,500+ sq. ft. marketplace of fair trade items from all over the world and “Design your life around Fair Trade!” This is the largest Fair Trade Market in the United States! Enjoy family activities, product demonstrations and sampling, movie showings, drawings for fair trade prizes, food for purchase, and more. Buying fair trade products supports living wages, care for the environment, no child or forced labor, gender equality, and safe working conditions.

The Fair Trade Market’s cumulative sales over its 12 year run is $1,055,000 in just 52 shopping days! That means more than 288 families were able to support themselves through market sales.

This is not a fundraiser or charity. The artisans and farmers are paid a fair price before the product is shipped to the retail vendors selling the items to the final customer. Manchester United Methodist Church provides space for these vendors to showcase and sell their fair trade goods. Only vendors selling certified Fair Trade products participate in the market. The vendors at the 13th annual Fair Trade Market include: Plowsharing Crafts, Partners for Just Trade, roots-n-streams, and Soluna. Dedicated volunteers with a passion for social justice spend hundreds of hours throughout the year to make sure the market is successful.

Come browse our huge selection of products including: chocolate, coffee, purses, scarves, home decor, baskets, toys, clothing, hats, gloves, tea, jewelry, musical instruments, elephant poo paper, holiday decorations, soaps, dishes, games, books, and more. You can make a difference in the life of someone else by choosing fair trade. Design your life around Fair Trade! Come join us at the 13th Annual Fair Trade Market located at Manchester United Methodist Church, 129 Woods Mill Road, Manchester, Missouri 63011.
