Today’s words are about one’s spiritual path. There are so many of us who search for a spiritual leader or guru or a spiritual path that suits them best and that they can feel and relate to. And it is important for us to feel that we are part of a community. For most of us anyway, we are not islands and are not designed to be alone. It is also important for us to have some ritual or rituals that become part of our daily lives and part of our being in community together.
As I ruminate about this, I realize that for me, and I think for many of us, a large part of my spiritual path is inside of me. I learn every day. Every moment is available to us as we become more present to ourselves and to us as being an integral part of everyone and everything around us. Instead of looking for someone to lead and guide me, as I am in me, feeling my body, my sensations, my feelings which live in my body, and being aware of my rhythms with that of nature, my guru lives in me. Everything I need to know about love and life and living lives right here in me and beneath my feet.
It is true, it is hard to be there, be present, every moment. Yet that is a spiritual path. Yes, I may want to move somewhere else where I think I would enjoy it. And I am here right now. I may want a different job or career or relationship. And I am here right now. Being with myself is the journey. This journey leads us, and all the answers live within our navels, so to speak.
Food for thought. I enjoy being a guide to you being your own agent of health. www.bodypresencing.com. gail@bodypresencing.com.
