Life can be a continuous grand adventure. Creating a better life is possible when using spiritual tools that work specifically for each individual. For me, experiences in daily living and in nightly dreams teach me how the divine works to show what is necessary to live in joy, grace, comfort, and peace.
To expand my awareness, build spiritual strength, and hear the inner guidance, I simply spend fifteen to twenty minutes a day to connect with the divine by doing a spiritual exercise. There are many to try in the teachings of Eckankar. Here is an example:
In the book, “The Wonder Within You,” by Harold Klemp, one of the exercises is called, “To Hear the Music of Soul.”
“When you want to align your mind and body with your true voice, your true nature, your true heart, and just be Soul, try this spiritual exercise.
“Find a quiet and peaceful place where you can relax and go within. Close your eyes, and take a few deep breaths. Begin to softly sing HU out loud.
“After a few moments, you may start to hear a subtle, high sound like the ringing of a bell or the sweet song of wind chimes far away. When you think you can hear this sound, switch to singing HU silently so you can listen more closely.
“At first you may think it is only the sound of the air moving, but you are actually hearing the music of Soul — a sacred song of HU. It is a part of you. It is there in your voice whenever you speak with love.
“Listen for this during your day.”
Each of us carries a door of imagination and creativity with us. That door can open to new opportunities and experiences. Just open the door and live the adventure. We are Soul, a divine spark of God and we are limitless.
Divine love moves us past our fears into a knowingness that love is the key to all life.
