It feels like there is an epidemic of loneliness. It seems like so many of us feel separated and isolated from others. We seem to be afraid of speaking our truth, worried about how others will react to our words and our thoughts and beliefs.
What if we were to create a circle of people from different walks of life and ideologies? In this circle, we first just look at each other. Then we take time to notice any judgements or prejudices we each might carry as we look at each other.
Then we just look into each other’s eyes for 30 seconds. Imagine saying out loud: “I am just a human being”. “I breathe and sleep and eat and eliminate, just like you.” “I have a family.” “ I have feelings”. “I love and hurt just like you.” “I guard myself just like you.” And then we look across the circle and one person at a time, we shake each other’s hands.
Imagine this. How does it feel to you?
Can you keep this exercise with you as you go about your day, and do your errands, drive to work and drive your kids to school and activities if you have children, and meet with others, and stop to get your cup of coffee, and so on?
Give it a try and feel free to write to me and tell me your experience. I would love to hear it.
I enjoy being a guide to you being your own agent of health. For assistance with exercises such as this one, or for recipe ideas, or an astrology reading, or even a fascia maneuver session, reach out and schedule a session. bodypresencing.com, Gail@bodypresencing.com.
