Irresistible Community Builders, LLC presents: 2100

By Tom & Carol Braford

In the year 2100, we are still here, and we are able once again to hear the rolling thunder in decades-long dried out lands. At last, we can enjoy the four seasons again at the edge of the Arctic and Antarctic. Europe is thawing out and parts of the tropics are becoming habitable again as the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) is being restored. The grasslands and forests are returning, as well. The gene banks are yielding reinstated species monthly now.

The first news is trickling in from distant galaxies of the arrival of some of Gaia’s Arks with their precious cargoes that were launched during the early years of despair. The nuclear remediation zones are expanding as hordes of truly magic mushrooms feed on the detritus of atomic decay. It has been a rough 75 years, but community has prevailed.

This is the story of how humanity, at the 11th hour, came together to wrest victory from the jaws of defeat. It is the story of how even the most dire, predictable, almost certain futures are not the inevitable future in the face of determined, organized, committed Communities of Proximity and Practice.

This is the beginning of a book that is a projected history. Each chapter will bring us closer to the present moment. The first chapter is one of the more positive scenarios of how things might be 75 years from now, provided we quickly get our act together. Seventy-five years will go by in the blink of an eye.

The re-engineered launch of the prototype communities is still some time off, so you can literally get in on the ground floor. You can be part of how it all begins. If we are even in the ballpark, this will have a massive impact on how it all stands in 2100, as some of you face the next millennium.

Most of the planning and implementation will be left to you and future generations, so contact us soon and let us know what role you want to play in creating the best possible future.
