We are out to create a net positive, intentional, community-based model.
Much has been written about the need for taking a deep dive into adaptation now, for both the mental and the physical health benefits.
What’s missing, however, from what I can see, is a comprehensive, scalable program for how we can do that in a meaningful way without delay.
At Arizmendi Ecovillage, therefore, we are ready to prove with your full participation that it is possible not only to live affordably in cooperation with your neighbors both near and far and in harmony with nature right now, but also to continue to do so, even as conditions in the world continue to worsen over time, as they are predicted to do. We know that as this and other strategies for rebound are perfected and brought to scale, those conditions will ultimately improve for everyone.
It would have been better, of course, if we had figured this out a decade or more ago. Now we have what we have, so let’s make the best of it. There may have been no other way for us to get here, because paradigms don’t normally shift without some prodding or at least without a good example of what else is possible.
So, whether you currently believe climate change is happening or are already looking for ways to ease your eco-anxiety because you see the handwriting on the wall or just want a more interesting and fulfilling life for yourself and future generations of all species, we invite you to join us in creating the abundant future now.
That’s right! You can soon be living and working affordably in ways that cause a post carbon lifestyle, eating food grown close at hand year-round, living in super energy efficient community-based housing and driving or being transported in shared, renewably-powered vehicles.
Don’t wait until it’s too late. Get yourself through the gate into the future of deep climate adaptation now.
You are welcome to join us on Saturday, February 1, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm for a New Decade party. Please contact us for more information.
