Getaway to Historic Ste. Genevieve For The Holidays
Celebrate the holiday season in charming Ste. Genevieve this year! On December 7-8 experience the 35th annual Holiday Christmas Festival featuring a traditional Christmas parade on Saturday morning and more than 20 free performances of seasonal music presented in beautiful historic churches and the Welcome Center throughout the weekend. Enjoy a stroll through more than 25 local shops and art galleries to experience true holiday hospitality and shopping bargains. The Felix Valle State Historic Site hosts ‘Le Reveillon’ on Saturday, December 7 showcasing French colonial period Christmas customs, decorations, music and food. Learn to make beautiful marbled paper using the ancient Japanese art of suminagashi. Discover the secrets to marbling using a simple floating ink process. Take home sheets of marbled paper to turn into cards, book covers, works of art or anything your heart desires. You’ll also take home your own marbling kit and pan to do hundreds of more designs.
