Chalily is hosting “SPLASH” Water Garden Tour
This is a unique tour! You can ride the bus (or drive independently if you wish), enjoy three meals throughout the day, and stroll through many lovely gardens. All the proceeds go to Water Charity, a non-profit that helps people access clean drinking water and improve sanitation. Water Charity has done more than 3,600 water, sanitation and public health projects in 72 countries, benefiting nearly 4 million people so far! Urban Chestnut Oktoberfest
Urban Chestnut Brewing Company’s annual Oktoberfest St. Louis returns for its 7th year on Friday, September 22nd, running through Sunday, September 24th, at its Midtown Brewery & Biergarten. The festival will span three full days and about two full city blocks to accommodate its thousands of annual attendees. Bier begins pouring and the fest grounds open on Friday at noon, but Oktoberfest St. Louis officially begins during a ceremonial keg-tapping @ 7pm. As is tradition, the Oktoberfest experience starts with bier. ArborMeisters Homebrew + Craft Beer Festival
Forest ReLeaf of Missouri is pleased to present the 4th Annual ArborMeisters Homebrew + Craft Beer Festival on Saturday, September 23 at Creve Coeur Park from 1-5pm. The Festival features over 60 varieties of beer with one common theme – trees! Homebrewers and craft brewers alike will get creative in incorporating at least one tree ingredient into their brews. All of this happens in the unique setting of Forest ReLeaf’s CommuniTree Gardens Nursery featuring over 25,000 trees! SUPERHERO 1-MILE OBSTACLE COURSE
Sign up your superhero for a one-mile course filled with obstacles designed just for kids! Our obstacle course is the one and only race where kids from ages 5 – 11 on the course without the distraction of competitive adult participants. The participants will test their upper body strength on unstable monkey bars and a rings course. They will get to attempt balance and agility obstacles from Hi-NRG Gymnastics such as the rolling log and quad steps! Don’t miss the chance for your kiddos to push their limits, show off their superhero skills and of course, have fun! Early Memory Loss Tour: Northern Grove at Laumeier
Participants, along with a care partner, enjoy an interactive, themed tour at Laumeier Sculpture Park. Tours are led by Laumeier Docents who have been trained by the Alzheimer’s Association of St. Louis and can be tailored to fit all participants’ needs and abilities. Participants stand and walk up to 45 minutes; tour pathways are wheelchair- and walker-accessible (hats and sunglasses are strongly recommended). Registration fee includes one care partner or support person with one participant.
