New Year Prescription For Health & Wellness

By Michael Rehme, DDS, CCN (Certified Clinical Nutritionist)

Another year has slipped away. I wonder what’s in store for us in 2012? We may not be younger and we may not be richer but I hope we all may be a bit wiser than before.
We may not know the cure for cancer yet, or even understand how to manage the chronic and degenerative diseases that plague our lives, but I believe we’re beginning to think outside the box to search for answers to questions that once seemed unreasonable or awkward to ask.

I believe there is a cultural movement that is creating a more educated population, motivated and inspired to create a healthier lifestyle for ourselves. Improving our health is about choices rather than ultimatums. Noninvasive in nature, focused on prevention and gaining ground among traditional health care providers, alternative health care has found significant popularity among the masses.

Are you willing and ready for a change? Now would be a great time to start by making it one of your New Year’s resolutions. You can begin the process by educating yourself. Knowledge is power and it will provide you with the enthusiasm and confidence to enlighten your soul.

Learn more about biological dentistry and the tooth body connection. Find out how parasitic therapy can relieve your digestive problems. Investigate chiropractic treatments that can help reduce fatigue and increase your energy level. All these benefits and more are available to you if you can teach yourself how to think outside the box.
Pearls for 2012:

1. Whether it involves integrative medicine, biological dentistry, chiropractic care or homeopathy, don’t be afraid to follow the road less traveled. Some of the greatest discoveries can be found at the end of these paths.

2. Remember to listen to your own intuitive thoughts. Most of the time these inner feelings will guide you in the proper direction.

3. Eat right, hydrate, exercise and get plenty of rest. Following these four simple rules will certainly lead you to the promised land.

4. Laughter is the best medicine. Individuals who have a strong sense of humor are less likely to experience burnout and depression and they are more likely to enjoy life in general – so lighten up. Stop taking yourself so seriously.

Wishing everyone a healthy and prosperous new year!
