HOPE YOU CAN JOIN US!  The StLouisGreen.com Holiday Light Recycling Drive and Website 2.0 Launch Party is November 18th at Mungenast Lexus of St. Louis from 6pm-9pm.  Join us for food, drinks and fun as we launch the Drive and new StLouisGreen.com website.  Please bring your holiday lights to be recycled or make a donation.  While appreciated, neither is necessary to brighten up your evening!  The drive begins Nov 20th through Dec. 12. at one of the 18 participating areas Wal-Mart Supercenters and continues from Dec. 13 through Jan. 31st at other locations listed on www.stlouisgreen.com.

St. Louis Cardinals “4 a Greener Game” food donation update: This was a fantastic season for distributing the remaining food from game day preparations to feed people at The Bridge.  This season 29,665 pounds of food have been donated!  Thank you to all that participated and made this happen!   www.bridgestl.org

 

This is a great time of the year to celebrate the hard work and be thankful for everything that has been provided to us.  Another fun event to attend is EarthDance’s 3rd Annual Pesto Festo Celebration of Local FARMS on Nov. 6th from 6:30-10:30pm at the Savoy in Ferguson.  Great food, great music and wonderful people, I plan on being there for sure!  www.pestofesto.org

 

Get your holiday shopping started early, well early for me.  The 8th Annual Fair Trade Market: Weaving a Single World. Fri. and Sat. Nov. 20-21, Fri-Sun. Nov. 26-28 from 9 am to 3 pm, held at Manchester United Methodist Church, 129 Woods Mill Rd., Manchester, MO 63011.  The market is one of the largest of its kind offering thousands of handmade items with an average price of $20. The Fair Trade Market is designed to transport shoppers around the world with  a selection of international entertainment and items from more than 50 countries. None generated in sweatshops or in violation of fair labor practices and all with good environmental practices in mind.  www.manchesterumc.org/ftm
