Miracle Greens For Optimal Health

One of my most interesting stops during my frequent trips to Ghana was visiting the home of Dr. Gottlieb Kofi Noamesi, A well- renowned botanist and expert in tropical medicine and the healing properties of plants, the doctor owned an herb store full of neatly packaged supplements which were remedies for many common diseases such as: diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, etc.

As I entered Dr. Nomesi’s herb store on my last visit, I noticed that his shelves, usually bulging with a cornucopia of remedies were replaced with one lonely-looking supplement.  The response to my question of “What happened to all the supplements?”  was answered with one word – “Moringa.”  “Moringa alone can cure 300 diseases; I need no other supplement on my shelves.”

Dr. Noamesi, who received a PhD. Degree at the University of Wisconsin was a 90 year old Ghanaian man who stated that this Moringa leaf is from an ancient tree that “gram for gram” has: seven times the vitamin C in oranges, four times the calcium in milk, four times the vitamin A in carrots, two times the protein in milk and three times the potassium in bananas.

Very little is known in the western world about this tree that grows indigenously in the Himalayas and other tropical and sub-tropical areas.  Moringa is well-known to India’s ancient tradition of ayurveda and is cultivated in many countries in Africa, South America and Indonesia.  While Moringa has the capacity to improve human nutrition it is also bactericidal and can also be used to purify water.  Was this the tree that the Lord told Moses to throw into the water in Exodus 15:22-27?
