Hyatt Regency St. Louis At The Arch Offers Hospitality For Allergy Sufferers, Romance, Baseball Fans & More

By J.B. Lester, Healthy Planet Publisher

A few years ago the term “StayCation” was born. Now with gas prices on the rise again, the “StayCation” is back in the news. And what better city to “Stay” and explore than our own St. Louis.
My wife Niki and I were recently the guests of the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch to experience one of its Amour Packages in one of their “Respire Rooms.” Needless to say, a romantic hotel package after being married 21 years was a big hit. And the hypo-allergenic “Respire Room” made our stay just that much better as the room felt crisp, very clean and oh so relaxing.

“Respire by Hyatt – Hypo-Allergenic Rooms are designed to provide a comfortable sleeping environment for all guests, especially allergy sufferers. Although all Hyatt rooms follow a strict protocol for cleanliness, Respire by Hyatt rooms undergo an additional six-step process to reduce airborne particles and minimize the presence of potential irritants. This process includes installation of a state-of-the-art air purification system and treatment of all fabrics and surfaces in the guest room. All Respire by Hyatt rooms are installed and maintained on an ongoing basis by PURE Solutions NA.”

The Respire by Hyatt – Hypo-Allergenic Rooms purification process includes:
• Application of PURE Shield and PURE Clean to minimize presence of allergens on carpet, upholstery and other surfaces in the room.
• One-time shock treatment to minimize irritants.
• Complete disinfection of Air Handling Unit and Installation of removable tea tree oil cartridge to maintain these conditions.
• Installation of hypo-allergenic mattress & pillow encasings.
• Installation of a powerful air purifier by Healthway, listed as a Class II Medical device by the F.D.A.
• Recertification every six months.”

You don’t have to be an allergy sufferer to enjoy the Respire rooms at the Hyatt. But if you do have any allergy issues, this is even better than a home away from home.

Any relationship can benefit from the Amour Package at the Hyatt. And don’t think it has to only be on Valentine’s Day, an anniversary or birthday either. Time away from kids, jobs, housework, yard work … Enjoy a bottle of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, complimentary breakfast and a late check-out. And by late, I mean late… 3 pm the next day! Plenty of time to rest, relax and renew!

Dining options at the Hyatt are plentiful and pleasing. Choose between the Brewhouse Historical Sports Bar, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Red Kitchen & Bar, Starbucks and of course room service. We enjoyed some great comfort food at the Brewhouse for dinner and then had an amazing buffet breakfast (as part of our Amour Package) at the Red Kitchen & Bar. I did notice organic eggs as an option on the breakfast menu for the strictly organic-minded. And all the fresh fruit you can eat at the buffet!

The Hyatt is located literally in the shadow of the Gateway Arch downtown. A magnificent hotel with over 900 guest rooms, suites, ballrooms, meeting facilities, restaurants, a fitness room, and of course my wife’s favorite, the open-air Gateway Terrace atop the 18th floor offering a romantic gaze at the stars and an amazing view of the Gateway Arch, Mississippi River and St. Louis Riverfront. Day or night, this is something you have to experience when you stay at the Hyatt.
The Hyatt also has a wonderful Concierge service, valet parking and a gift shop full of St. Louis souvenirs. The hotel is close to everything downtown and offers seasonal packages and specials such as the Cardinal baseball package, the Amour Package, and much, much more!
