The month of April, Earth Month is here! It is my favorite month for Green! There are so many things happening throughout the month, it is absolutely fantastic. Currently there are over 40 events and activities on the StLouisGreen.com calendar.

Hope everyone will join us at the Second Green Ball, a celebration of all things GREEN in St. Louis benefitting our dear friends at the Missouri Botanical Garden’s Earthway’s Center. The Ball will take place Saturday, April 2 from 7-11 at the Moonrise Hotel. Creative Green Attire is welcomed and there maybe a few contest winners and a visit from the Green Queen! www.MoonriseHotel.com/greenball

Don’t pitch those pots! Help reduce the amount of horticultural waste by recycling your plastic garden pots, polystyrene cell packs and plant trays at the Missouri Botanical Garden. Since the inception of the program 980,000 lbs of horticultural plastic has been diverted from the landfills. The program kicks off April 2nd and runs through Sept. 30th. Visit the website for a location nearest you. Way to Go Steve!! www.plasticpotrecycling.org
