Have you noticed how much more available gluten-free food has become in mainstream grocery stores? Andrea’s Gluten Free, a dedicated gluten, peanut and tree nut-free kitchen facility in Chesterfield is busy adding to the visibility by making their goodies more accessible.
“Have you seen our company logo on the freezer door at your local Schnucks?” asks Andrea Kosinski, owner and Chief Taste Officer of Andrea’s Gluten Free.“Being more available to our clientele and to others eating gluten-free has been a company goal, and recently we teamed up with Schnucks to stock some of our customer favorites in six local stores.”
These customer favorites include Gooey Butter Cake, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Chocolate Chunk Cupcakes, Yellow Iced Cupcakes, Pumpkin Muffins, Gooey Truffle Cookies, and Gooey Butter Cookies. Schnucks is currently carrying these treats at their Ballwin, Wildwood, Des Peres, Kirkwood, Richmond Heights and Edwardsville stores. There are five more stores in the works.
“I can’t yet reveal the next Schnucks locations, but we’re definitely expanding to new areas,” says Kosinski. “Next time you’re wheeling your cart through the frozen foods section at your Schnucks check it out.”
The Schnucks collaboration is just one of many ways Andrea’s will be more visible this spring.
“Expect to see us all over town,” states Kosinski. “We’ll be exhibiting at the Healthy Planet Natural Living Expo, FEAST Allergy Class, and Chesterfield Earth Day. Stop by our booth and sample the goodies!”
Andrea’s will also exhibit in April at Chicago’s Gluten and Allergen Free Expo, and provide snacks at a cocktail party for the Nourished Food Blogger Conference.
A visit to Andrea’s Chesterfield store tells a delicious story. The aroma of freshly baked sweet and savory foods wafts through the air. Shelves are stocked with Andrea’s products; bread, pizza, cake, cookies, seasonal specials, as well as boxed convenience items like pasta and snacks from emerging gluten-free food manufacturers.
You’ll be greeted by a knowledgeable staff member, well-versed in the gluten-free diet and lifestyle. Resource materials and books concerning gluten intolerance and celiac disease are available, along with gluten-free cookbooks.
