Joseph P. Kearney Memorial Heart Fund
to benefit Mercy Heart & Vascular Hospital
Sisters Colleen Rohm, Cady Warnecke and Jody Capdeboscq announced the establishment of the Joseph P. Kearney Memorial Heart Fund. The Fund was created in memory of their father, Joseph P. Kearney, who passed away on June 10, 2011, from heart disease. All proceeds from the Fund will solely benefit Mercy Heart and Vascular Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
“Our dad was only 66 when he died,” Capdeboscq said. “But he survived as long as he did because of the medical treatment he received. Creating the Fund is our way of showing our gratitude to Mercy for the exceptional care our dad received for so many years.” The sisters will work with Mercy to determine the greatest financial needs within the Heart and Vascular Hospital. Disbursements from the Fund will contribute to projects including research, clinical trials, financial support for patients and their families, medical staff education and technology updates.
“We are grateful to Mr. Kearney’s family for establishing the Joseph P. Kearney Memorial Heart Fund,” said Trish Geldbach, Mercy vice president of operations. “This fund will help Mercy Heart and Vascular Hospital continue providing quality care to patients and their families.”
Joseph P. Kearney grew up in St. Louis and lived in Creve Coeur prior to his death. He spent 34 years working in accounting at Conner Ash, P.C., was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his three daughters and eight grandchildren.
Contributions to the Joseph P. Kearney Memorial Heart Fund can be made by sending your donation to: Mercy Health Foundation St. Louis, 615 S. New Ballas Road, St. Louis, MO 63141. Checks should be made payable to: Mercy Health Foundation St. Louis. Indicate the ‘Joseph P. Kearney Memorial Heart Fund’ in the memo portion of your check.
