Circle of Light - Independent Spiritualist Church
A weekly gathering held from 6:45 – 8:30 p.m., on
Sunday evenings, we share a service of prayer, song, messages

Becoming an OutdoorsWoman
The YMCA of the Ozarks Trout Lodge and Camp Lakewood is
hosting its annual “Becoming an Outdoors-Woman”
(BOW) weekend this year September 12-14, 2008. We are
looking for 100 women who’d like to get out and
explore the outdoors at our beautiful facility. Go to

here! The facility is a short 90-minute drive from St.
Louis. The BOW program is a fun-filled educational opportunity
designed to teach women ages 18 and up hands-on outdoor
skills. Cost of the weekend is only $185, and includes
all meals from lunch on Friday through lunch on Sunday,
lodging in our Camp Lakewood cabins Friday and Saturday
night (cabins all have air conditioning and modern bathroom
facilities), instruction for five classes (except our
climbing classes and horsemanship do have an extra fee),
equipment use for all of those classes, a BOW t-shirt,

YOGA FOR PEACE- ST LOUIS
Hundreds of people, young and old, experienced and new
to yoga, gather in the grass West of the Pool Pavilion
in Tower Grove Park to perform 108 Sun Salutation in unison
in celebration of the United Nation’s International
Peace Day at St Louis’ second Yoga for Peace celebration
on September 20th, 2008. Brad Smith with Kirtan St. Louis
will perform a call and response chant before and after
the event. Children, onlookers, and partial participants
are welcome join us at this city wide, outdoor, open yoga

Prairie Day at Shaw Nature Reserve
Follow the herd to the Shaw Nature Reserve for Prairie
Day, Saturday, Sept. 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Meet early
prairie settlers and explore what life was like on the
great American frontier during the bi-annual family event.
The Reserve’s 250-acre re-created tall grass prairie
provides an authentic backdrop for the day’s festivities.
Prairie Day is sponsored by the Shaw Nature Reserve and
Missouri Department of Conservation. Admission is $3 for
adults and free for children ages 12 and under. Missouri
Botanical Garden members and Shaw Nature Reserve passholders
