All Roads Lead
to Learning at St. Louis Community College
This fall offers the opportunity to take a different
kind of road trip—one that won’t empty your
gas tank or leave you stranded in airports. Join nearly
30,000 Continuing Education students on the journey
to learn new skills; enhance present abilities; and
treat mind, body and spirit to the thrill of continued
growth and fulfillment.
Explore new Vista. Navigation of Windows Vista has
been difficult for many. Take a class with a seasoned
guide who will give you a roadmap to make the transition
to this new operating system easier. Likewise, new software
by Microsoft Office, Adobe CS3 and QuickBooks has left
people stranded. Learn to negotiate a number of social
networking and e-commerce sites such as Facebook, My
Space, Ebay and Craigslist with safety and ease for
yourself, your children and teens.
Visit a green world. Meet a “locavore”
who will introduce you to sustainable eating in our
region with a guide to local farms and markets. Travel
the pathway to health and wellness by greening your
home and business. Take an excursion to an Urban Homestead
to learn how to raise healthy vegetables and livestock
in an urban environment.
So, remember to book your fall “travel”
plans with us. The Continuing Education Office offers
classes that people really want—classes that meet
a need and provide opportunities for learning, professional
advancement and personal development, as well as classes
that act as a springboard in transitional stages of
life. We serve the needs of a diverse community with
innovative and quality classes, workshops and activities
at affordable prices and at convenient locations.
Registration for the fall semester begins August 4.
